Tanji
and Marakissa For independent souls or those wishing to
get away from the developed coastal area, Paradise Inn Lodge near the Tanji
Reserve is an ideal spot for a birders. No swimming pool but comfortable
clean and simple accommodation in a wooded setting by the side of a river
- delightful. They have their own local bird guide who we rated very
highly.

Tumani
Tenda. On the south side of The
River Gambia (nearish to Pirang). Excellent eco tourism
project with Brown-necked Parrots as an added bonus. Simple accommodation
and food, delightful staff drawn from the local village. Project
can be reached for day visits. Excellent value for money click

Tendaba
Convenient for Kiang West and the bolons of the Bao-bolong
Wetland Reserve. There is also good birding around the camp. A must
for any birdwatcher.click here
Sindola is a more luxurious establishment
situated in bush some way south of the river. Features in many of the tour
operators' brochures.
